Did you know that the correct way to insert a bobby pin in your hair is with the wavy side down?
We all know the flat side of the bobby pin is longer than the wavy side. Apparently the wavy texture is designed to grip your hair in place and the flat side is meant to push it down and hold it in the grooves.

I’ve been wearing bobby pins the ‘correct’ way since I read this, and yesterday Kev’s like AMBER YOU’RE WEARING YOUR BOBBY PINS WRONG and I’m like NUH UH! Glad I found this post again to prove it!
…this explains a lot of my issues with my hair
(but headbands are easy and i have no ambition so it’s unlikely to ever change!)
At least I know my Fallout characters have been picking locks the right way ‘round.
